RSNA Learnings

RSNA has just concluded – some of the highlights for me.

1, Much smaller attendance from the US. US radiologists seem to not see much value in attednding RSNA. They dislike the infringment on their Thansgiving weekend, also the chicago winter cold, and the fact that it is a large and impersonal conference. Most would prefer to go to a subspecialty meeting in a warm place.

2. More international visitors – we had more visitors from Africa, Asia and South America at our booth than from North America

3. PACS and RIS are truly commoditized in the US. Teleradiolgy workflow is the differentiator

4. The American economy is truly in a downturn – many fewer booths, one hall closed down.

Speakers, Ashok Srinivasan, Jagadish Singh, Sachin, SP Singh, Foundation – Ari mintz wants to read, Ben Northrup would like to teach Dushyant bonding outside of work, cycling etc
