Panel Discussions

Four panel discussions in two days is quite a bit of talking. By the end of the third of these, my co-panelist, (Dr Nobhojit Roy of the NHSRC) sympathetically diagnosed me as having “Chronic Panelitis”! Three of the panels were at the conference on the Future of Radiology conducted by REF India Foundation and Express Healthcare in New Delhi. They were on subjects close to my heart, namely, Artificial Intelligence (moderated by Vidur Mahajan), Value Addition in Radiology (moderated by Bharat Aggarwal of MAX), and Teleradiology (moderated by Dr Hemant Patel, at which I was also asked to give a keynote).

The next morning I flew back to Bangalore and drove straight to the Carnegie Mellon University Alumni event which was conducting a panel on the Future of Jobs, on which I was the healthcare industry’s representative. Moderated by the irrepressible Priya Chetty Rajagopal, it was a stimulating multi-industry discussion and I learned a great deal from being on it.

The highlight of the weekend was our being awarded the best Teleradiology company award by Express Healthcare. Equally gratifying was the presenter saying that the decision was a “no brainer”. And certainly the best part was returning to the office and sharing the award with the team.
