New 3D Lab collaboration with Massachusetts General Hospital

It has been an eventful summer and one of the highlights at TRS has been the launch of our new 3D Lab providing postprocessing services to the Massachusetts General Hospital. Led by

Roy D’Souza, who did his 3D Imaging fellowship at the Mass General Hospital, and with a team of technologists specializing in 3D postprocessing techniques and workflow, the new lab supports the clinical imaging department at MGH, performing detailed analysis of CT and MR angiograms of the brain, coronaries both to aid detection of pathology in the emergency setting as well as to facilitate treatment planning. This new collaboration is rewarding as it allows us to expand our service delivery into an area that is closely related to our core strength and opens up new possibilities and opportunities, both in clinical services as well as research. Of course the icing on the cake is that Massachusetts General Hospital is the one of the most venerable and prestigious of medical institutions in the world, and a collaboration of this nature is both exciting and humbling in its significance for TRS.
