Teleradiology Solutions turns 10 years old

This month, Teleradiology Solutions turns 10 years old – we were incorporated in February 2002.

For a teleradiology company to reach the ripe old age of 10 is no mean task. Over the past decade the radiology environment has become a labile and competitive one, and many teleradiology companies that started at about the same time as we did have either been acquired, merged with others, or shut down altogether. So just to be still standing when many others have ‘hit the dust’ is itself a matter of some satisfaction.

However, even more satisfying for us is to end our first decade with the title of Best in KLAS among teleradiology providers in the US

As we enter our second decade, it is time for some reflection. The past decade was an interesting and exciting one for us, with significant learning and growth. The core values that we espoused, of always maintaining the highest quality in our reports, of being responsive to our clients’ issues and concerns, and of striving to always exceed their expectations and those of their referring physicians, are what I believe have seen us negotiate successfully the challenges of the past decade. And we have no intention of wavering from this path…

Seeing exciting opportunities in the area, however, we also started other successful ventures such as TeleradTech in the technology space (Radspa, the new teleradiology workflow is the result), in training/education

( in the form of our teaching website and e-learning portal , www.radguru.net), in providing healthcare to our local community in the form of our clinic and imaging center RXDX, and most recently in Telemedicine through our partnership with Cisco. Our not-for-profit initiative, the Telerad Foundation, provides service to hospitals in remote parts of Asia, free of cost. And our personal trust fund, the People 4 People trust, has installed over 70 playgrounds in schools for underprivileged children in the South of India.

As we embark upon our second decade, we are committed that we will remain true to our core values of quality, patient-centricity, constant learning and client focus. However, we will at the same time continue to innovate and embrace opportunities that allow us to remain at the forefront of our industry.

I look forward to the next exciting decade in the world of teleradiology, and beyond!

The challenge (and reward) in an organization is to combine creative inspiration and the perfection of mundane repetitive tasks. As my friend Dr Steve Pomerantz says – Genius consists of doing it perfectly, every single time.

Teleradiology Solutions conducted a postgraduate CME and Quiz on Sunday March 18. The CME was conducted in an interactive format with active participation by all our consultants. There were 3 quizzes, a conventional radiology quiz, an emergency radiology quiz and an advanced imaging fun quiz. The CME was well attended by postgraduates from all the southern states and was a great success. The winner of the quiz, Dr Praharsha, was awarded Dr Dushyant Sahani’s new textbook of Abdominal Imaging.
