Breast cancer is the most prevalent cancer in women, accounting for 13.5% of cancers in Indian women. Mammography is a diagnostic modality that allows early detection of breast cancer. In the setting of radiologist shortages, teleradiology is one method of ensuring that a large-scale mammography screening program is effectively supported by accurate radiologic diagnosis and made accessible to every woman whether in urban or rural locations in India.
